OFFICIAL: Arsenal confirm the club record signing of Nicolas Pepe from Lille

Arsenal have signed a contract with Ivorian wing Nicolas Pepe from Lille, the club announced on Thursday.

Pepe brilliantly starred with Lille last season, drawing the attention of Europe's giants, notably Napoli, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain.

The official website of the Gunners, the signing of the player's contracts to move to the team, to represent a strong boost to coach Unai Emery.

This came after the 24-year-old Ivorian was in London this week to finish all details and undergo a medical examination.

According to several press reports, the value of Pepe's move to Arsenal is £ 72 million.

The London club decided to pay this amount in five instalments, given the limited budget this summer.

Bebe is the most expensive player in the history of Arsenal, surpassing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Borussia Dortmund by 60 million pounds.

He is also considered the most expensive African player after his superiority over the transfer of Riyad Mehrez to Manchester City by 61 million.

The debate over the future of the Ivorian wing ends, just a few steps away from Naples.

Pepe has scored 23 goals and 12 Assists in 41 appearances for Lille last season.
